Groups, churches & companies

Church groups, corporate teams, school service projects — we'll plan a day of service around your group's size and skills.

Short-term mission trips

Mission ABQ hosts short-term mission teams of students and adults — groups from 15 to 150. Our motto for student teams: equipped, not entertained.

Every trip is organized but flexible, built around current needs and your team's gifts: food bank sorting and distribution, street ministry and outreach events, and work projects from campus cleanup to roof repair.

We hope every member of your team, adult sponsors included, goes home transformed.

Looking ahead

A vision for Family Advocates

Today our Kingdom Builders teachers, Resident Services coordinators, and other Mission ABQ staff often step in to help families through school enrollment, medical emergencies, benefits, and agency calls — on top of their own jobs.

Our vision is a team of dedicated Family Advocates, much like social workers, who walk with refugee and low-income families across every system they face — until those families can advocate for themselves, and then help the next family.

What Family Advocates would do

  • School enrollment and parent–teacher meetings
  • Doctor visits, insurance and medical emergencies
  • Benefits and government agency paperwork
  • Keeping families safely housed
  • Life skills for families new to the U.S.

Help us build it

We're looking for funders, churches, agencies, social workers, and bilingual volunteers (Swahili, Kinyarwanda, French, Spanish) who want to be part of this.

Wish list

These projects would make the biggest difference right now.

Kingdom Builders

Playground shade

Our infant and toddler playground has no shade. In Albuquerque sun, equipment can reach 130–160°F. A shade canopy cools the area by up to 20°F.

Grace Resource Center

Food bank van

An enclosed cargo van so we can pick up rescued groceries and donations daily, instead of relying on volunteers' personal cars.

Kingdom Builders

Secure van enclosure

A welded-mesh enclosure with overhead cover to protect the daycare vans on Central Avenue.

Mission Training Center

Community kitchen

Bringing the MTC kitchen up to county code, so it can cook for day camp and events and host cooking classes.
